Update 24th December 2017

Theatre Group Christmas Lunch

The Theatre Group meets on the third Thursday of the month at the Royal Oak to plan its
numerous outings.  Did you know that we organise an average of 75 outings a year?  This year, we agreed that our December meeting would be sweet and short and followed by a Christmas lunch.

A big thank you to the staff at the Royal Oak for all the effort that they went into to make the tables look very festive - the best we had seen so far this year- and for cooking a delicious and plentiful Christmas lunch.  We all enjoyed it!

We wish our members a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year filled with enjoyable and stimulating outings.

As one of our number has moved out of the area we were able to welcome a new member who was on the waiting list.
Shown in May news, below, are ten events yet to come, some of these are still available at present ( please contact whoever is arranging the trip that interests you ).  Most unusually, though, we found nothing to add to this list!   Hope we will be luckier on July 20th at the next meeting.

May   2017
We discovered that over 70 events had been arranged at our meetings over the last year, plus spontaneous outings in between, covering a wide variety of interests and venues.  Not surprising, perhaps, that we now have a growing waiting list for membership.

Pat will book the Welsh National Opera at TRP in March 2018  - on the menu is Tosca, Don Giovanni and La Forza del Destino  These are evening performances, which means possibly missing the last train so an overnight Travelodge stay may be necessary if no drivers available.

Nothing at the Minack captured the interest  of those at the meeting but any ideas from those who couldn't attend are always welcome, please.
Hope you can make our June 15th meeting at the Royal Oak, 10.30am.

April    2017
Perhaps we should write our own scripts as lots of witty repartee at this meeting - maybe it was Simon's Easter Eggs or anticipation of lunch at the Royal Oak afterwards, that we indulged in!
