It was a glorious day for our June stroll. We stopped at the hillside cafe for toasted tea cakes and ice cold ginger beer, which really quenched our thirst.

The next stroll is  on
Friday 26th July  to the Wadebridge riverside park.  John Wood has organised this walk, which takes us over the bridge from the 'Challenge Annika' TV show.  Unfortunately I am unable to attend so please address any queries to John on 01208 831657.

Those who live in the Bodmin area go straight to the Borough Arms car park, in Dunmere, where John will be waiting for you.

The Lostwithiel contingent meet outside the Community Centre for travel/transport to meet up with John. Start time is 10am.

Update 4th June 2019

The May stroll took place on a fairly breezy but pleasant enough day. We visited the Beacon, in Bodmin. John had some maps of the area and gave us a talk about the distant landmarks, such as Rough Tor and Helman Tor. He then led us around some pretty country lanes. We finished the morning by returning to the Community Centre for coffee and bacon baps.

Our next stroll is on the 28th June. We meet outside the Community Centre at 10am, except for those who live in Bodmin. The will meet up  with us outside the Borough Arms, in Dunmere.

Update 28th April 2019

It was a cold , wet  and generally miserable day and so we decided to cancel our stroll to the waterworks. Instead we chose a stroll to the Community Centre cafe, where we enjoyed a selection of beverages, toasted tea cakes, bacon sandwiches and cake.

We had some interesting chats catching up on all the news.  The next stroll is on the 31st May to Beacon Park.

Update 29th  March 2019

A pleasant stroll in the sunshine from Respryn to Bodmin Road station.
We had toasted tea cakes and coffee in the platform cafe and then watched the Bodmin to Wenford steam locomotive.

Our next stroll is Restormel road to the waterworks on the 26th April.

Update 22nd  March 2019

Our next stroll is on Friday 29th March. We will walk from Respryn (car park) up to Bodmin road railway station. The platform cafe serves a selection of food and for those who are really hungry you will be able to buy a full English! Toasted tea cakes and coffee, etc, are also available. We are meeting outside the Community Centre at 10:00 to arrange car sharing. Please note that there is a car parking charge of £1 for non NT members.

Update 28th February 2019

Our stroll on the 22nd February, through St Andrews nature reserve, was quite short but pleasant enough and enjoyed by all. Afterwards we went back to my house for refreshments and a chat about the program. John talked about introducing a couple of new strolls around Grogley and Polbrock, which sounded interesting and will be explored in due course.

The next stroll is on the 29th March from Respryn to the station.

Update 15th February 2019

Our stroll on the 22nd February will be through St Andrews nature reserve, Par. This is a short, but pretty walk, with many wild birds to look at and photograph.

If it is raining we will cancel the stroll and come back to my house for light refreshments and a chat about the programme

Please meet up outside Lostwithiel Community Centre, at 10am.  Car drivers will be most welcome.

Hope to see you soon.
